Over Memorial Day Weekend we headed out to Southern Oregon to surprise my family! It was Landon's first big trip...8 hours in the car. He did great but I couldn't believe everything we had to pack for just 5 days (stroller, bouncy chair, diapers, wipes, clothes, couple of toys, blankets, bottles, pump, extra milk, burp rags, baby monitor, etc.) I think Landon had 4 times the amount of things that we did!
It was such a fun trip and so worth the long drive in the car. My grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, brother and sister-in-law have never seen Landon in person. We also had good friends (who are like family) visiting from Ireland, so they got to meet him too!
When we got there we put Landon on the porch with a special delivery sign while we hid around the corner!
My parents were so happy to see him
And he loved Grandpa and Grandma's house
Landon got plenty of attention
Grandma with her new "toy"
Lots of attention from Grandpa too
Landon with his Auntie
Great Grandma Lamson
Great Grandpa Lamson
It was love at first sight for my grandparents
Great Grandpa and Grandma Shaffer loved him too
Landon definitely loved his Uncle Trever and Auntie Anna
We feel extremely loved, spoiled and blessed to have the amazing family that we do. Leaving was quite difficult and tears were shed as we all wish there was someway to be closer.
Landon is just so precious and did such a great job in the car and being held by all sorts of "strangers". He always makes us look good and we are very thankful for his personality and temperament! I know there will be many more trips out west!

That's so cool that you guys got to do that. Looks like it was pretty special for your family. It sounds like your mom's a little obsessed with him?? (:
