Pumpkin Painting and Pumpkin Carving!!!!

Since we had pumpkins I thought the easiest thing to do would be paint them...since they were little one's from the field trip we went on.
There are a lot of pics from our painting session, but the boys were so cute!

Landon wanted to make his look like batman, with all black on one side

Blake ended up finger painting then hand painting halfway through :)

Being a stinker and pretending to lick the paint off!

We bought bigger pumpkins to carve with our friends!

This is the 3rd year that we have carved as the 3 families and I LOVE this tradition
We all eat dinner together and then spend time digging out guts and carving pumpkins!

The older the big boys have gotten, the more involved they have become

However, most of the work is still left to the dads :)

I usually pick out pumpkin seeds to roast later

Then chat with the other two moms!

This year, we happened to all have superhero shirts and Landon really wanted all of us to wear them.

I'm "Miss America", Jared is "Flash", Landon is "Captain America" and Blake is "Batman"

So fun and so cute (both boys picked out the exact superhero shirt they wanted)!

Can you tell the theme this year in our house...since the pumpkin is Captain America also!
(I really have no idea how the obsession started, since they've never seen a show or read a book with these superhero...must just be something they've grasped onto from toys or being around other kids)!

Thankful for these boys, that ours can grow up with and hopefully someday be accountable to as young Christian men!

We love our fall traditions and we love these two families and their kiddos so much!

Here's to adding another kid to the mix next year and many, many more years of laughs and memories!

Pumpkin Patch 2014

Fall has been in full swing around here!  October has flown by as we have been busy every weekend and have had a lot going on.
Last weekend Jared and I got to have an amazing get away (just the 2 of us)!

The Friday we left the boys had a field trip and Jared was taking the day off anyway, so he went with us!
I was so happy he went because I didn't know when we would make it to the pumpkin patch as a family any other time.

We love going to the pumpkin patch with the boys and it only get more fun as they get older.

We had to do all the traditional:

Corn Maze

Animals

HayRide

and Pumpkin Picking

It was a quicker trip than other years, but we still got pictures and we still go pumpkins, so mission accomplished!
And after we left the field trip, Jared and I dropped off the boys at his brother's house and we were away to McCall...not a bad weekend, when this is the view from your room!

So gorgeous the landscape the Lord created!

Oh Baby Baby!!!

We had our 20 week ultrasound with our third little peanut in the middle of September.
Everything looks great and the baby is growing, moving and developing just like he or she should...what a blessing!
We decided to wait until the big day in January to find out if we are having a little baby boy or a little baby girl!
I can't help but think of Psalm 139 whenever I see these ultrasounds:
"For you formed my inward parts;
you knitted me together in my mother's womb.

I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made."
It's so true that this little one was specifically formed for us by the Lord to be a perfect fit for our family!

Here's an arm and part of a hand
(no, that is not a boy part :)

Here's another arm and hand

Here's a cute little foot

Another little foot

A belly (with heart shot), leg and foot

And an adorable little profile with his an arm about by their mouth!

Such a sweet, sweet, miracle!
